In 2024, Sustrans carried out an initial feasibility study for a new walking and cycling route (Route 4) connecting Ashford town centre to Repton and Victoria Park, which was identified in the Ashford Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP).
ABC and KCC have appointed Jacobs to develop and deliver a stakeholder engagement exercise to:
Understand the local sentiment for the proposed cycle route and infrastructure interventions.
Develop an understanding of any local issues that may affect the delivery and success of the project.
Understand any changes that may be needed to the Sustrans plans.
They are holding two drop-in pop-up events which you are welcome to attend at the Stour Centre, Station Road, Ashford TN23 1ET on
