Did you know we have been running our bicycle recycling project at Goldwyn School for over 8 years? During this time we have recycled over 2,300 bikes back into the Ashford community at affordable prices.

Just in case you have not made it to one of our bike sales or heard about the project, this is how it works:
The local community donate unwanted bikes to our not-for-profit community project
We fully service and clean the bikes (with the help of the students at the school)
The refurbished bicycles are made available at our regular bikes sale events at an affordable cost (saving around 60% on retail prices)

Thinking about myself and my 2 (now grown up) sons, I estimate that I needed to get them another bike approximately every 2 years from the age of 4 to 18 - thats 8 bike refreshes. Now assume each of those would have cost me £250 new (the equivalent cost at our bike sales would be around £100), so over those 8 years I have saved myself around £2,400!

Can I ask that you share this flyer with your community to help families save money too? We currently have around 90 bikes available in all sizes from kids first bikes to adult bikes. The next Affordable Refurbished Bicycle sale is on Saturday 24th May (the next one after that will be on Saturday 12th July).

During the bike sale event we will also be offering bike checks and learn-to-ride support for any non-riders, both children and adults - both those services are for free!

Please share the attached flyer to your community as you feel appropriate.
